MPORTANT NEWS ABOUT THE 4TH ANNUAL APA ASSOCIATION MEETING. PhotoWorks is happy to announce the dates of our 2010 gathering! The 2010 meeting will take place in San Jose, CA. on 2-28, 3-1 & 3-2-2010. Yes, this is Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The times will be similar in schedule as last year. Basically, it's a reception and arrival on Sunday, Meetings full day on Monday and Tuesday. A: Jo Shaw and Matt Lawrence
Q: Where do you operate your rental business? A: Currently in the Reno Tahoe areas
Q: How many years have you been an IPA member? A: Just over a year
Q: How many booths do you own?
A: Four booths
Q: Favorite Events or Venues A: So lucky to be able to be at the Annual Norther Nevada Childrens Cancer Christmas Party....really sad....but still gives me the warm and fuzzies... Last year, some parents told us that it was the most fun part of the party to see their children pulling faces and being able to forget about their illness for that moment.
Q: How important do you feel your website is in helping you book events? A: Really important to have a professional website....since it is most often the first contact a client has with our company....and it sets the scene for our first conversation.
Q: Aside from your website, what other types of advertising do you do? A: We have tried some print and a couple of local tv shows..but mostly our business comes from word of mouth referrals, other vendors, and leads from other organizations that we belong to.
Q:What is one piece of advice you can share with other members? A: Know your product, Get there early, take deep breaths, and do not panic! If all else fails, switch it off and start again! That is more than one piece, but I got it all on one line!
Q: Do you have plans to expand your business with additional booths? A: Yes, we just got our business licence for the Central Coast Photobooth Company.....and once the holidays are over, we will be hitting that area hard. Planning on two booths down there for starters....!
Q: Do you have a funny story or testimonial you would like to share? A: Our best testimonial comes from us!! We had been looking for a photobooth for our own wedding....and after talking with Paul, I remember telling Matt that we could not get married because I just bought a photobooth. That is pretty much how we started our business. Matt thought I was crazy....but now he gets it! By the way, we got so busy that we still have not found the time to plan our own wedding....but when we do, there will be a photobooth there!!
